    Kernel fix

I see vix 3.2 033 is out with the kernel fix, is it fine to software update a kernel fix or should it be fresh flashed?
    Cheers.

...isn't it an ET8000 specific fix?

This build seems to indicate GST 1.6.2 whereas build 32 is 1.6.1 so does this need flash instead of online update? Would like to see in change log on box something like "flash required" so we know

GST1.6.2 in our dev branch only, not in release yet.

the git you are reading from is the OE-A git

    it says

    [GST] 1.6.2 added.

which means the required files for gst 1.6.2 where added to the gits.
it doesnt mention that anyone is using it yet.

if/when openvix decides to use it, the log will have another additon likely to be

    [openvix] use gst 1.6.2

    etc.

The online update worked for me fine - except that the Green dot for more updates appeared even after going to -033. So I reflashed anyway. No problems.
