EPG Set Up and Scheduled Refresh

    Hi All,

Yesterday I set up and downloaded my EPG which went all ok and I could see the EPG file in the designated location - /media/hdd

Now I then set CrossEPG to refresh and update at 04:05 this morning and obviously my Xtrend box was in Standby mode at that time, when I checked to see if the EPG file had updated I have found that the EPG file is no longer there. I have rechecked the settings and it is still pointing to /media/hdd

Can the setting to refresh the EPG at a designated time perform this whilst the box is in standby mode?

    Thanks - Jason

Not sure if it is something that I have done or its just fixed itself over time.

My AutoBouquets Setup is set to update at 4am and then I set my EPG (via CrossEPG) to update at 6am.

I also used FireFTP to search for any other EPG.dat files that were in the local file system in case it was not saving and reloading from the correct file but only found the one under media/hdd.

I had the same problem with CrossEPG not updating automatically, but updating fine manually.

Finally managed to track it down, to a timeshift problem.

    Check:-
Setup - System - Timeshift Settings

Set - Stop timeshift while recording? 'no'

When I had it set to 'yes' CrossEPG would fail to update automatically.

Don't credit me for this, as I did find it eventually on this forum, but had to dig deep.
