    Question Bad blocks 4

    Hi all

When I last flashed the box to 3.2 during the flashing process it showed bad blocks x4.

Any idea why and if it should be anything to worry about

    Thanks Pete

So what happens if they start to increase?
Just noticed that one of my solo2's has 11
Is this a sign that the box is about to go POP!

Having bad blocks of flash is normal. Flash has bad blocks from new.

But if the number of bad blocks starts to change it means the flash is on the way out.

    Thank you for your answer.

I have only had the box for a short time, it belonged to someone else before I brought it, so I don't know its history.
I'll keep an eye on it next time I flash it.

On both my boxes the flashing indicates 5 bad blocks.

Is it really bad blocks or blocks that are read only protected because they actually contain the code necessary for the flashing process in the first place.
