Another Newbie lokking for help.

Hello to all,

I am a new member too and am finding a lot of the tech going a bit over my head as a complete novice so idiot proof advice for me is recommended

After cancelling the ever increasing costly S2y I have purchased and am anxiously awaiting delivery of my Gigablue quad hd plus after reading some positive reviews and I hope to be able to set this up using some of the great advice on here, I was undecided/confused and ordered factory default but it seems that Vix is the preferred choice for many here, I think/hope that using one of the threads here I can reset this if people tell me it is advisable.
I had originally looked at a Zgemma box and decided that the Gigablue was a better quality but I had wrongly assumed that I could also use the GB as a dual satellite/xbmc box like the Zgemma which I found is not correct after reading some posts here, can anyone recommend the best trouble free Xbmc or
(showbox which the wife found easy to use) similar/compatible way to obtain streaming movies and box series on the GB.

Any tips on the best overall set up to run for reliable use and recording series links etc to start up my box from scratch when if comes @tomorrow would be greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't use your box for XBMC (now KODI) as it's not much use. I would buy an Amazon Firestick and side load Kodi onto to that for a much better experience.
