i have passed teh source to andy to look at see what we can do with it

edit: andy says that it might not be possible on duo as the duo kernal is 2.6.18 and the wifi kernal is 2.6.32 and the duo needs to be 2.6.25 or above

it might be possible on et series as the kernal bootloder was upgraded to 2.6.31

Regrettably, I must take back my statement. Even with that dongle the Internet contact will be lost unexpectedly and reboot is needed. Software update is stuck in endless running thus forcing a powered reboot when the contact is lost without notice. I'm sorry to claim that in spite of its superiority the VIX team has never managed to master the wireless Internet. This I dare say because VTI works with any of my dongles. My sincere wish is that VIX could prove its excellence even here.

Edup Mini Wireless N WiFi USB WLAN Network Adapter Dongle
    Code:
    http://www.syncron.ie/product_p/20a.htm
Flashed my duo with the latest BH image there last night.

Nano wifi dongle linked above showed up no problem. Ran through the network setup process and bingo.
Now able to run my duo through OpenWebif and Dreamset

I'm afraid it does seem to be a bit random at times.

Updated to the latest Vix image, she wouldn't pick up my usb dtt stick, nor my wifi dongle.
Tried an AAF image, same problem.
Tried BH 1.7.2, dtt stick yes, but no wifi dongle.

Happened to browse here yesterday and saw blackhole 1.7.3 and thought, what the heck, I'll give it a whirl and voila, everything works now.

    Hey Guys!

(Vix Duo) - Will the Edimax EW-7612UAn work ?

    Code:
    http://www.edimax.co.uk/en/produce_detail.php?pd_id=332&pl1_id=1&pl2_id=44
It would be ideal if it did.

    Thanks

Tried using my HTC One X as a wifi hotspot (using mobile data over O2 UK network) but unfortunately that didn't work. I got it to see the network and connect to it, but it just didn't work unfortunately. Connecting my laptop to the network worked fine however. Has anyone else successfully used a phone? I will be without internet for a couple of weeks at my new place so would ideally want to use mobile data, but can't crack it as of yet. Managed to get it working using a TP Link wireless stick though, will edit in exact model later.

    Hi,

I've successfully tested a TP-LINK TL-WN727N on the DUO build 2.4-155. Works pretty well with a BT Home Hub 3 router.

    Cheers
