What we need for a provider XML file for ABM is the so called 'home channel' information.
    (freq. , sym.rate, netid)
That channel is broadcasting all the data we need.
If you don't now that information it will be try and error.
Did you try a full scan on your cable and did you get all the channels?
If so, can you post that lamedb?

What model Panasonic TV? It's unlikely to have a DVB-C tuner in it. Panasonic can barely produce a DVB-T (Saorview) compatible model. Perhaps you were receiving Saorview channels off the cable (acting as an aerial)? The local cable system here in Greystones is still analogue and a scan on a TV with an analogue tuner will pick up some channels - this is an exception, though. All terrestrial broadcasting is digital now and most of the cable systems have been converted. Still don't think you can clear UPC encrypted channels directly on an Enigma receiver. I believe the cards are paired to a specific box.

TV does have a hybrid tuner, cable, terrestrial and analogue (much to my surprise), but just remembered that it is a french model - bought it off pixmania 2/3 yrs ago model TX-PF42G30. The French use mpeg4 hence saorview works okay.

If I connect an aerial feed to it, it pulls in the saorview channels (including all the extra unamed ones....) though no middleware to support the teletext.
If I connect my upeeeeccccc feed I can get the 17 analogue channels, and see all the encrypted channels (with a few in the clear as stated above). The DVB-C option only appears when there is a digital cable source connected to it.

Gave back my dvr box to upeeeeeccccc a few months ago, but still use them for bb and phone

Was surprised at previous poster's question about abm, but it seems clearing channels can be done.
A little searching and scene seems to be alive and well (not sure if it's using (sea)lines and the likes

There seems to be something wrong with your keyboard when you type UPC
Channel decryption not using own card is not discussable.

Look in the directory /etc/enigma2 - download it to your pc using an ftp program like filezilla.

Can also use Dreamboxedit to connect to your stb and read all your bouquets (abm or personnal) and the lamedb file to save down to your pc.

They are only text files so you can look at them using notepad++

Try this provider file for ABM.
    put it in /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/AutoBouquetsMaker/provider

Start ABM, select this in providers and start scan.

mmmm. It should give some result.
ABM is always using the last (DVB-C) tuner. Is your last DVB-C tuner configured correctly and connected?
Can you activate log (menu, setup, system, logs, settings, enable debug logs), restart GUI, scan again and post log file.
