Using this as a 2nd box to stream to from vu duo2

    Hi all,

    I have a DUO2 in my living room with 4 x dvb-s2 tuners and 2 x dvb-t tuners.

I want the ability to watch some of the satellite channels over my network and was wondering if there is a way to do this if I were to buy a VU+ Zero.

I have Ethernet in the relevant places, (not a fan of wireless- its good for phones/tablets but not fixed devices IMO).

So is it doable? A few years ago I tried something similar but could never get it working, using a remote plugin, can't remember its name

    Cheers all

    Stuart
    Run a VU DUO for 3 years with OpenVIX,since 2010. Running a VUDUO2 since 2012, again with OpenVIX :-)
Now running extra VU+ Zero's in other rooms from my Duo2!

i think the only way would be to have one of the satellite feeds to duo plugged into the zero. you can use openwebif if you have a pc to watch over internet. if you want to watch recording from the duo to zero you can do this by mounting and using NFS in networks.

i dont think you can stream over wifi or ethernet, unless there a plugin to this. maybe something like xmbc

The plugin you want is remote channel stream converter.

Any E2 receiver will run the plugin.
