3T crashing

As the title says I've having terrible trouble lately with my receiver. Running the latest build of open vix. Vix came pre installed on the box when I bought it fro here a couple of months ago. Box constantly crashes , happens mostly while changing channels but also starting to happen while watching something. Happens on both cable and satellite. Also no matter how many times I update there is always an open vix update available flashing in the corner of the screen while changing channels, even if I've just done the update. Crashing is definitely happening a lot more regular the last fortnight or so. Any idea what my options are to fix this as I haven't got a clue where to start trouble shooting.

Crash logs will be in /home/root/logs/ by default, please upload atleast one on here or it's just guess work.
The fact you are constantly getting updates available might suggest you online updated to a build that required a fresh flash.

Thanks for the reply judge. I've checked the log folder and it's empty, thing should be full with the amount of times it crashes. I've always updated online and I have the box since the end of January so maybe you're onto something with the fresh update. Never did one so wondering is there much to it and is there a way to back up setting or is it a fresh install of everything.

When you say 'crashing', what exactly is happening? Do you get a black screen with text on screen or is the receiver just locking up randomly with only a black screen?

My box completely locks up/screen freezes. Sometime will black screen and the only way to get back to normal is to switch off and back on at the back. Hasn't froze since last night but haven't been watching much tv.

Ok so, changing through the channels and the box crashed, fixed by flicking the on/off switch at the back. Had a crash log so here it is. Just copying and pasting it. If this isn't the proper way to post please let me know the correct way.

You should attach the log file instaed iof pasting the content.

The TM's currently have an issue exiting timeshift. They have been informed.

Well eventually I got fed up of all this crashing & sent the receiver back to WOS.
They sent it to Technomate who replaced the main board.

It doesn't crash anymore while watching Tv but I'm still not happy with the software.
Downloaded Kodi & it was working fine for my partner while I was away for a couple of days.
Just tried it there now & it won't work at all.
Just get the usual restart message & the receiver reboots.
Back to the drawing board.

You can't really blame a box or the image you use on it for a dreadful plugin you install.
