    2x Dvb-s2 twin tuners + recording

    Hi Guys,

I have my Vu+ Duo 2 setup with 2 x twin Dvb-s2 tuners, I have 4 independent feeds coming in from my dish to the box.. all tuners are working fine as i've tested each feed individually but my setup is incorrect. I want to be able to record channels whilst watching others, in theory should my setup not allow me to make 3 simultaneous recordings whilst watching a 4th channel?

When I try to record more than one thing I get a black screen.. all my tuners are set to single and the recording setting is set to auto tuner.. i've be back and forth with different settings but nothing seems to work for me, i'm really at a loss here I thought this would be a simple setup. Can anyone advise me better?

    Many Thanks,
    Cal

Yes, please also see this thread for taking screenshots in future.

So you have atleast a quad LNB with a feed going to each of the tuners from the LNB?
If so, what cam are you using to decrypt your channels & have you a local card in the box?

Thanks the tip regarding screenshots.. sky cam, i'm using an Octo lnb as I've still got original my skyHD box connected up as well until I get my Duo 2 fully setup to my liking. I've just noticed that i'm able to record the free to air channels simultaneously just not the sky channels.

Try using Cccam 2.3.0 available in the plugin feeds.

Hi sewalsh, I'm a newbie so i'm not really clued up in it all.. but my tuners are all reading around 93% on the SNR.. yours looks to be only 15% which would point to a signal feed problem? but if it had been working fine before you updated to vix 166 then I really don't know.. maybe a more senior member can answer better? updating seems to have fixed my problem, so a big thanks to judge for suggesting it. Hope you get yours sorted.
