1 motorized dish and 2 receivers

I have a Vu Uno connected to a motorized dish and I would like to connect my new Vu Zero to the same dish ,and I don't necessarily need to have both tuners being able to control the motor. What's the best way of doing this?

The best way would be to fit a twin LNB to the dish with the second output of the LNB feeding the VU+ Zero as a 'slave' receiver. The Zero would then receive all channels on whatever satellite the dish is pointing to (controlled by the Uno). For example, the Uno sends the dish to 19.2E, both receivers would be able to tune all those channels independently. The only downside to this would be if you were watching or recording something on the Zero and someone selected a different satellite position on the Uno, you would lose reception.

Put a twin tuner in the Uno. Twin LNB to Uno. Don't take any feed to the Zero. And Run the Zero through RCSC.

Just so happens I have a twin LNB and twin tuner in my Uno. I only have one cable going to the Uno from the LNB though. will I need 2?
Will this streaming plugin RCSC give me good quality streams -even in HD?

I just installed RCSC on my Zero and it seemed to work ok, but when I tried turning to a different satellite with my Uno -nothing happened. Now, it seems, my Zero also controls changing satellites. I want my Uno to do this -not my Zero. What¨s causing this to happen?
How should my tuners be configured (I have twin tuners in my Uno -one cable running from my dish to the Uno)?

When the server receiver is streaming, that tuner becomes occupied. Like a recording. That is how RCSC works. Although not functioning as you like, don't give up on it yet.

For now you will have to manually set the zero as simple, single, whatever sat uno has moved dish to. You will have to keep altering tuner config whenever you move the dish.

There was a post a long time ago by Rob detailing what config to use so you don't have to keep altering configs. I cant remember where it was posted. He can't remember either.

Got it set up and it works fine, but I had to use ethernet cable. Did not work well with wifi or powerline equipment -choppy picture quality. I was wondering, now that everything is set up -is it also possible to start a recording from my Zero, and record onto the Uno?

Yes you can share the HDD.

Not too sure how recording works with RCSC. However, it would be a lot easier to record on the Uno directly rather than going back an forth over the network.

You can use Dreamdroid or other such programs on your phone/tablet

Yes, easily possible once mounts are set up correctly.
You might also want to look at the remote timer plugin.

Set up correctly? Is there more than one way to set this up? I wonder, because I read here somewhere that it works perfectly with just wifi. How is this possible? I had to use ethernet cable and even then, once in a while, gives me a choppy picture.
So, is there more than one way to set this up?
Can you tell me how to set this up in the most correct way?
