    Possible to stream channels?

Hi I read on the TM website and packaging that the box has AirPlay. So I assume you can stream channels to other devices like tablet, phone, PC/laptop.

How is this possible and is complicated to set up?

if i remember rightly, airplay lets you view pic, movies from your phone to the tv. not sure if you are able to stream direct to a tablet. airplay can be downloaded from the vix feeds. however, it does not work, i think you have to purchase a serial from the owner.

there should something on this form about this somewhere

Don't believe all the hype on manufacturers sales blurbs.
AirPlay is a third party plugin and may not be maintained as often as images are updated.
Also, AirPlay is used to stream from a device to the E2 box, not the other way around.
Most devices will stream from an E2 box easily enough.

As far as I am aware the author of the airplay plugin has ceased development and no longer provides keys to unlock the premium part of the plugin.
My posts contain my own personal thoughts and opinions, they do not represent those of any organisation or group but my own.

Um, I just want to test it to see how it works and if its smooth and not jittery as it is with streams usually.

I want to test it at home using different devices but also if Im at work or just out want to test it on mobile internet too.

Transcoding does not work on teh TM Nano 2 super and Nano 3t combo yet, so forget about it via internet unless you have a huge upload speed.

Im slightly confused cant I stream over internet even though transcoding doesnt work? I thought fast internet would make a difference.

Thanks for the links, however the first one seems complicated as that is the main one to setup to stream.

The second link after trying it doesnt work as in the browser it says power is off.

I have read on here some people being hacked from streaming, is this true and is there a way to protect against hackers when streaming as it is very worrying indeed?

Im sorry I thought I could post in this thread, didnt realise it was image related.

You need a fast upload from your home internet and you need a fast download from your mobile device if you do not have transcoding.

You are only exposed if you start opening/forwarding ports on your router. Somoene said they would look into making a guide on how to use VPN with teh receivers.

If you are streaming inside your own home you wont have to do any on your router, so are not at risk.

Does anyone know how to stream over the internet if the transcoding feature isnt available?

What is the best way to stream channels from this box?

Is 10mb not fast upload speed?

I assume without transcoding feature working the upload has to be higher as HD channels use alot of bandwidth to stream?
