xspeed L2 recording format

Hey all,

I'm getting a xspeed LX2 and I want to know what file format does the box record in? Is it a .ts file? If it is can it be changed so it records in either avi or mp4 format? if so how do I do this?

if it can't and .ts is the only format can I extract from my HDD to my PC and convert it with a program like Handbrake?

Yes, it will only record in .ts & you can transfer it to your PC & convert it with handbrake.
