    Question Potential GB Quad+ Buyer

    Hi all,

I'm a relative newbie to the Enigma 2 box scene and am thinking of getting the GB Quad+ so have been catching up with all the threads on it.

Now that the drivers have been updated last month, would people recommend this model?

    Thanks.

Hi, I have a Quad and have setup a Quad + for a friend, I don't really have any experience with any other of the other Vix supported receivers to compare but I think they are great boxes, never really had any issues.

I have the standard Quad and its a cracking receiver, it does have the occasional driver related issue but so do all the other E2 boxes on the market.
My posts contain my own personal thoughts and opinions, they do not represent those of any organisation or group but my own.

Hello welcome to the forum I purchased a Quad+ about 3 weeks ago and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was
I also have a Duo2 - LX3 and a Mutant and the Quad+ is just as good as them and like you say now that the Driver issue has been fixed well worth considering, I was also put off because of the driver problem but I really like it
and don't worry about all them old overheating problems it was a false reading because of the drivers, mine is currently running at 30c and it's sat on top of my Mutant

I bought one and am very impressed by it as well as the Vix image.

Loving the features, makes me realise I should've upgraded from my Blade box long time ago!

How does the transcoding compare with the receivers you mentioned nsw?
Are they all equal in the ability to transcode?

    Thanks

It's not a feature that I use very often but when I have used it, it worked fine without a problem

How would it compare with the solo2. And which app can you use for Android with the gigablue?

The GB Quad+ is my first Enigma2 receiver so I can't compare it to the solo2. Since the driver update it has been excellent.
