Depeneding on your Windows go Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Disk clean, select the drive containing the old windows, let it find things to remove and you will get the result and the option to remove old windows installations.
I have just looked for this but i dont have disk clean in the options/window that come up after opening admin tools, am using windows 7 and typed it into the search but disk clean comes up and I have tried this before but no joy.
In Windows 7 go Start/All programs/Accessories/System Tools/Disk Cleanup , if you have just one drive/partition it will autorun if not then select your Windows drive and run it and when it has found files that can be deleted it will give a further option to Clean up system files. The only reason why there would not be a Disk Cleanup would be a Customised installation that disabled some Control Panel Options. Normally this would only be used on a network to stop you changing other users settings. Be patient as nothing appears to be happening while Disk Cleanup starts.
