there are many to choose from try either the SGTFlipFlop pack or the silverfox pack. note though while they both cover sky uk. only the silverfox pack follows the channel numbering of a official sky box.

I have just taken a look at the use dbedit tutorial on forum, which is basically what I was doing before without any joy, though files I've downloaded from here Silverfox0786 E1 28.2E [02.12.2010] will not load in the program it gives me an error message, when I try and send different settings which load ok I get

    Sending username root
    Sending password dreambox
    Connecting to 192.168.0.5.
    Connected.
Dreambox response: Login successful. Have fun.
    ** Getting directory list /var/tuxbox/config/enigma/* **
    Starting FTP transfer
    Transfer complete
    ** Sending file "/var/tuxbox/config/enigma/lamedb" **
    Starting FTP transfer
    Transfer aborted
Error sending file "lamedb" to the Dreambox.
    Disconnecting.
    Disconnected.

    Any ideas?

When I click on test IP connection in options it says successfully connected to dreambox on IP address
192.168.0.5 and I don't have any problems using "dreambox control centre", so I think everything is ok on that part, does the dream box need to be on or in standby, but then I have tried both, if I click on
satellite receiver under the enigma 2 settings I get the following I don't know if they have transferred as I cannot find them on the receiver.

DB500 must be set to enigma1 and tick remove unused bouquets.

port 80 checks for http/s and port 21 ftp

click test on both check ip and check username make sure they are both successful

although with above results it seems your connected just need to transfer as enigma1

and then full restart of your box and a rescan if this is the first time your setting it up

Hi mate as silverfox described there should work. Make sure you have satellite reciever selected, enigma 1, clickalso on remove old bouquets. Funny enough the only time I ever had trouble with dbedit was with my brothers dm500! In end I had to manually transfer all the bouquet files and sat.xml by ftp using winscp
