    Hi DaMacFunkin,
it is more a demuxer thing. DTS-MA simplified consists of 2 streams one with the core and one with the rest similar to DTS 96/24. TrueHD is a bit more complex as it does not have a real downward compatible core as DTS has.

    ciao

Well I've gone back to Vix for now untill the image is more developed.
    Some things to remember.
1: they need to use kodi now
2: the new pvr in kodi looks nice
3: is the image open source, can anyone compile there own version com the git.
4: does the mutant pass thru dts-hd and true-hd
5: is it capable of playing vc1 streams, is it down to software or hardware.
6: we need to test video streams in both Vix and E2bmc images.

I can confirm that is doesn't pass dolby true hd to my receiver.
As i only have a 5.1 setup I can confirm that the dts-hd is being played but my receiver only sees it is dts but have no way of knowing if it is actually dts-hd coming thru.

Does not play vc1 streams very well it is blocky and distorted.

Looks like it doesn't support hd audio after all.
It's a sony HT-SS100 which support lpcm 5.1 thru hdmi but no dts hd or dolby true hd, but with other media players I've owned the sound does come thru the amp with those codecs but maybe only the core is coming thru.
Can anyone with a hd capable amp confirm it passes it thru.
