Broadband speed plummets when the box is hooked up to the router.

    Hi folks,

Looking for some advice on this.

Gigablue HD Quad plus running the latest version of Vix. When it's hooked up to the router, the wireless broadband speed in the house plummets from around 16mb to less than 1mb.

Have I missed a key configuration point on the network side or what might be the cause?

    Thanks

Do you have DHCP set up on your Quad? I had problems with our network until I assigned a fixed IP to the receiver, outside of the DHCP range of the router. You can end up with IP conflicts if you have several devices connecting and disconnecting to your router.
