Dreambox 500s went out of production about 4 years ago and it very hard to find them and clone sales here is banned on this forum. Best speak to our sponsor for a good price on a DM600 Like the 500 but so much better with PVR etc

i have both the dm 600 pvr and a tm600 super. both great boxes however tm600 suffers from lack of proper epg and image support. tm600 has ur team as main image maker butis not as advanced as the likes of pli etc on the dm600. you can howver install mv epg on the tm but is not great imo.
dm600 for me is far superior but if you are looking for cheaper alternative the tm600 is ok.

i also have both receivers however personally i would not consider the pli images advanced in any form. for a kids receiver the TM600 is perfect as it's easy to use and not much to go worng, the DM600 on the other hand suffers like all DM's for the fact that there are way too many clones about.

I have one so i can relate and agree

if i was to get a budget receiver and make sure its genuine i'd get the tm500 super if i had a few pence more then the tm600 both brill for your kids needs better than even a genuine dreambox

well i would not go that far. but for a kids box you cant go wrong with either of the TM's. the DM500 is way way too old and way way to over cloned.
personally i would not have one given.

TM600, I bought 5 of these for mates and all fine. The best thing about them over the clones apart from everything that has been said before is power supply - I found the clone that I ordered really poor and kept blowing the power unit.
