no 7 day epg on spiderbox hd 6000

Hi I have been unable to find any way to load the 7 day epg on to my spiderbox hd 6000, upon reading a number of posts I understand that it may be because I am at 28.2 east and it cannot be done. This is where I get confused as I have a skybox f5s and it is also tuned to the same sats with no problem downloading the epg from xmltv. Is it not somehow possible then to download xmltv on to my spiderbox and use it rather than be restricted to now and next? Sorry if this is a daft question I am still pretty new to this, but if someone could give me a definitive answer it would save me pulling out the little hair I have left. Thanks.

Keep your hair on - the HD6000 does not support 7 day epg on 28e.
