    RS 232 port

    Is it a requirement to have to use this port ?
    If so does, a converter to USB cable work ? TIA

    It's not a requirement no, you can simply flash the receiver using the USB method http://www.vuplus-support.co.uk/show...ng-a-USB-stick

    You would only ever need to use the RS232 port if a USB flash goes wrong, which I haven't seen happen yet and only read 1 report about it ever happening to anyone.
