What background check causes vix logo to spin?

Which background check causes vix logo to spin in left upper corner? Is it epg or update check? It comes too often to my liking and while on box is unresponsive and also doesn't connect to network. Thanks

None of them should lead to the box being unresponsive. EPG update is shown on the telly screen
