It is not a priority, just a tidy up. The sections in the .conf file headed [newcamd],in the .server file headed [reader] label = cable_uk & in the .user file headed [account] user = pwd = can be deleted - they are not doing anything.

I would be interested in knowing if your Skycard has come to life yet?

I think you can ignore the failban comment.

All the references to CAID 1841 in the log above are about UK cable channels. You have switched your tuner to a cable channel - but as I said earlier you can't get your own UK cable card to work in a VU+ box unless you have specialised knowledge, which is not available here in this forum.

As to the service, port and server ip - I am very sorry but these are only required when using the other method, and cannot be discussed here.

    Ref the last line

    2014/10/07 14:04:38 59EC30 c skyuk (0963&000000/FFFF/125F/5F:2D28D05BDBFD8533D6D63DCF59D1F21B): rejected group (0 ms) - Sky One (no matching reader)

That indicates that your sky card is not working.

Best to start a new thread with all the things you have tried so far.

We can only discuss FTA cable reception on this forum, but if you keep your information to the FTA channels we should be able to get you working.

How do you make another user group?

You can't use your cable card in an enigma2 box without professional equipment.

Basically, for the average person it's not possible.
