    Welcome to the forum.

What is shown onscreen when you press Menu > Information > Devices

Can you also telnet into receiver and issue following command and post back results
    Code:
    df -h

The second one is a telnet command. You need to yuse a program called Putty or enabel teh tlente client on windows.

May be an idea to update to latest 4D image. Most people here use Vix, but use what you are comfortable with.

It is probably not mounted as hdd. Not used the 4D image for a while. You will need to look into what it is mounted as.

The 4D server expired, so you wont be able to download anything through the plugins. I would recommend you flash latest image.

4D Images are on the following link. There is also a guide for mounting your HDD

Ok, firstly apologies for delay other stuff to do!
Spent some time with the box today, and have now got to grips with it, no probs with the hdd when the box is properly set up, my mistake originally, thought it was a straight plug n play job, it is but with some peripheral stuff as well.
Now a happy bunny can now use the the pvr facility without probs,
    thanks for your time etc
