    Cable tuner issue

    Hi all
Having troubles with lower frequencies channels under 200Mhz on cable, pixilated picture,
Getting BER errors up to 3, signal dropping up and down, tried two different splitters, waiting for attenuator off fleabay,
Signal looks very strong 99, does that mean too strong signal of cable tuner fault? Cheers

Ignore signal reading, all cable tuners I've tested all show wrong level.

    Check your feeds, splitters etc..

Everything looks fine, sometimes some channels dissappear, are pixilated or work fine. Tried if some electronic devices don't interfere, but didn't find any interfering. Satellite tuner works fine.
Tried signal booster too. Doesn't make much difference. What splitter do you recommend?

Satellite is totally separate to cable. If they work and sometimes don't, perhaps you should check your local card/softcam.

Most channels are at 99%. I wonder if an attenuator will make a difference, but it's worth a try.

If you get a stable video on channels about 200Mhz it can't be your card. Also what about fta channels below 200Mhz ? If they also break up it can't be a card problem.

Could be external interference from nearby electronic devices.

Yeah, I'll give attenuator a shot. I'll report. Funny enough some channels working fine now after I connected booster 30db konig yellow one. Some though not working at all. It's hit and miss really...

Was watching one channel with decent 84 signal, nothing changed and suddenly started getting pixilated picture because of BER error at 3 percent. When BER is down to 2 or less picture is OK. Hmmm
