    CI+ module for Ultimo?

Currently I can't watch the encrypted HD channels because the Ultimo itself doesn't support linking the smartcard to the receiver.
If I buy a CI+ module and insert it with the card to the CAM slot, will it link the card and can I then watch also the encrypted HD channels? Does it matter which CI+ module I use? (Would LA Digital or Dilog work?)
I live in Helsinki and my cable operator is DNA/Welho, and the most importand channels for using the CI+ module would be the CMore movie channels.

    Hi,
all VUs only support CI not CI+. Do you really need CI+? I read a rumor that one E2 STB supports CI+ but there is the question for how long.

CI+ is needed for the HD channels that require coupling (I'm not sure about the correct term in English) the card with the receiver. For other channels I can just insert the card directly to the slot without an additional Ci module.

I can say from hands-on experience that CI+ and Ultimo is a no go.

I asked the same thing in a Finnish newsgroup for digital tv discussion (sfnet.viestinta.tv.digi), and somebody suggested inserting the card and reader module to some Cable HD Ready -certified device with a slot for CI+ module until it finds the necessary authorizations and shows the required channels, then moving the CI+ module with the card to the Ultimo, and implied that it might work.
Have you tried it that way?
Or has somebody else here tried, so you could confirm or deny that it does or doesn't work?

You need to rent CIv1 pairing module from dna. For that you need to have serial number from HD-device without Ci+ support that is in www.testatutlaitteet.Fi list.
