Bargain 100% compatible VU+ Solo2 and other model WiFi dongle.

    Hi,

I found out the EDIMAX EW-7722UTN V2 (Has to be V2!!) WiFi dongle is the same part as the genuine VU+ 300n dongle, albeit white in colour.
These can be picked up for more than half the price as the VU+ model.

Obviously applicable to other VU+ devices, I own a Solo2 so thought I would post here.

This works out the box with VIX with no drivers from the feed needed.

Thought I would share , might be one for Stef to stock?

Nice find - Any with the Realtek RTL8192CU chipset will work regardless of make, incidentally if you want to know what chipset is in your devices find it on here by make and model

Totally agree regarding the Realtek 8192.
As sad as it is I have a bit of on obsession with devices and Linux or embedded devices. I edit the PID/VID on eprom to make devices work with things they shouldn't, like wifi adapters for smart TVs etc.

Realtek or Ralink is the best for Linux imho
