    HD streaming

Is it possible to stream HD content to a laptop through a 802.11g wireless connection.
SD works perfect but HD video pauses for a milliscecond the audio is OK. I have tried altering the cache in VLC but can`t get it to work correctly.

I've got to say I'm surprised SD is streaming ok using wireless G, let alone HD. Have you tested wired? If wired is ok then I'd you will most likely need to upgrade to wireless N.

In vlc change the encoder and play with its individual setting till you get the best out of it. this worked for my but from experience it differs from one network to another.

kingy.... check if your router/access point has a setting called WMM (Wireless MultiMedia) support. if it does, make sure you enable it

downloaded and looked at the user guide and can't find it supporting WMM.
just a suggestion may be improve things, try to change the channel for wireless network. let's say from 9 to 11 or 7

sometimes u may b having a wireless device that interfere with the frequency of channel chosen. used to have this with my logitech g7 mouse and netgear router on channel 9

do u have any firewall enabled if so disable, restart computer and retry. also if you have KAV exit it and retry if you have checked the option to scan all network traffic,

In my experience I think you'll struggle to get HD on G, even N can struggle unless its a full 300Mbps network.
