    VFD only for boot sequence?

Just a quick question: As the VFD is very lousy and the information is mostly redundant with the LCD display, I would like the VFD to only show the boot sequence and stay black once the LCD is up.
Is there an easy way to accomplish this?
    Thanks.

Redundant or not depends on your setup.
IMHO the VFD is perfect for a progress bar (+ remaining time): that can be huge and clearly readable from normal TV-watch distance.
I find the LCD too small to be very useful at all. But a picon in addition to the progress bar could be fine.

Well, I guess that's a matter of taste.
I don't like the milky VFD at all. Looks terribly cheap in my view.
So, I'd rather just use it for the boot sequence.

I followed the approach I found in another thread and changed
    infobarsummary size to 0,0
    in /usr/share/enigma2/display/skin_display.xml
that does what i want. :-)

The large progress bar sounds exactly what I'm after , do you have a config for this?
