    i've noticed that its my internet and once a week i have to switch off for a few minutes and put it back on and everything fine, getting about 10meg. tried installing Mgcamd 1.35a and setup but same issue.

    When the internet slows with mine I turn the Vu SOlo2 box off via the remote the internet then works perfectly. I turn it back on from stand by and the internet stops. This suggests the problem is with the Solo.

    I've reset the router and still this problem persists.

    I'm going to try a flash of the newest Helios and see if that works.

    It's also so inconsistent. Right now everything, internet and picture are fine and have been all morning. However what happens next is one will give, usually the internet.

    Just has an addition to this I updated both my solo2 and duo2 to Helios 006 from Zeus on Wednesday night, both use mgcamd 1.35a, on completion of both upgrades my email, Internet etc came to an annoying crawl, virtually every command would time out, my router webif became unresponsive, even power cycling my my router and modem didnt fix it after tearing the last bit if my hair out I unplugged both the duo2 and solo2 network cables and the network just pinged back to life again, I then easily did a reboot of the router from web if, plugged both the cables back in and it all seems to have been fine, so I would have to agree something somewhere seems to go a bit wobbly.

    Hello,

    I appear (hope I haven't spoken too soon) to have had some success.

    My picture has stabilised and my internet has been working as normal

    I'm not entirely sure how I managed it, but this is what I did;

    Turned off the mgcamd log. Gave my Solo2 a reserved ip address on my router.

    I then tried to flash it to Helios 010. However I realised I didn't know how to do this. Although whilst trying I turned my Solo2 off and back on at the back of the box.

    Since then, it's worked like a dream!

    When turning your box off at the back make sure you shut it down first from the menu (deep standby)

    I've checked and all settings preserved, epg still present and I have a pulse. Although won't try it again!

    So, randomly at around 7pm the problems started again.

    Picture freezing every 10 to 15 minutes.

    Does anyone know what the issue could be?

    Could it be the hardware? As I mentioned, I've only had it 6 days and never encountered problems like this with any other satellite boxes I've had. It's not a clone, I bought it from our esteemed sponsor.
