Question Vu+ Uno - Wont boot...

    Hi

Had my box nearly a year now and have a problem if I switch off my box (or electricity goes off and on again).

If the box has been on and warms up (Information, About says 37c), if you switch it off then on again it sits with the Red Standby light - no text on front display etc... If i leave it 30-40 minutes to cool down fully it boots fine again.

Anyone else experience temperature-related issues with the Uno?

    Thanks in advance...

First of all: never switch off the power if you didn't switch the box off via the menu. This can really damage the box. If there are regular power outages at your place, please use an UPS (and this applies to all your electronic equipment; for that reason I use 3 UPSses here.
If the power has been switched off, leave it of for at least a minute; that is to discharge all capacitors, and has nothing to do with the temperature.

The few times I have had to power off by the switch is if the box hangs, I usually leave the box in Standby if not being used.

We also have had a couple of power outages (especially during the bad weather in Dec/Jan) where the power went off for about 5 minutes but the box wouldnt come on again. I unplugged the power for another 5 minutes - no luck. I left it for 20 minutes and it powered on.
