    Lag

    Hi,
Not sure if anyone can help with this or not, I have an SF8 and an xp1000+, which I am sure are identical boxes bar from the front panel. Both running most recent Zeus image, both have identical plugins installed.
For some reason the SF8 has 'remote lag' ie it takes the box about a second to catch up with what I am pressing on the remote but I don't have this on the xp1000+. Both have a HDD attached via a Caddy, the SF8 has a SATA 500gb and the XP1000+ has an IDE 80gb (both 2.5 inch laptop drives). The SF8 does have a lot of media files on the HDD whereas the XP1000+ does not (I have no Network shares or anything like that).
Could all the files of the SF8 drive be causing the lag? I am struggling to think what else it could be.
    Cheers.

I have no experience of either receiver, so i'm not really sure to be honest.

Fair enough. I'm gonna unmount the drives and swap them around to see if that has any effect.
