Like in that gameshow, whats it called, the cube I think, lol, can I use my "simplify" option to make it easier, lol

Me and my mate have been trying to get this to work now obviously at each others houses and computers and yet still no joy, we just cant work out what we are doing wrong

You guys make it all sound so simple etc but it obviously isnt for some people.

Maybe a totally simplified guide would be good if someone has the time to do it as we are at our wits end with it and theres just no way we can get it going, driving us crazy, we know it should work but just cant get it to work

I appreciate the first persons guide in the thread, but we just cant figure it out, maybe a dummys guide tutorial would be good, lol, we dont mind being the dummies, I am sure there is plenty of other people who have tried and failed but just dont have the nerve to stand up and say what I have just said.

Hoping for some big time help here please, either that or a new tut for dummies.

    Thanks guys

is there a way to stream without using a pc ie if i went on holiday i wouldnt mind leaveing my Vu+ box on but wouldnt want to leave my pc on running
i have a ipad VU+player works ok on my home network but want to be able to use to outside of my home network

would it be a case of just forwarding a port on my router and as mentioned about getting a fixed IP address ( i dont think bt infinity give you static ip)

any help would be great. esp if you have a BT HH3 for the port fwd

yup i got the exact same question.
i dont want to leave my computer on to access the vuduo - which is connected to the same router. So please can anyone help or point us to a guide showing how to access the vuduo (for changing channel, streaming, or checking the timers, epg) remotely?

yup i concur - these set top boxes aren't easy to get to grips with, im looking as well for a very clear, step by step (as in, literally each button press) guide. A lot of these guides skip past a load of steps, or assume prior knowledge.

please please can someone do a guide thats literally step by step (button press by button press), for accessing the vu duo remotely, directly? thanks

This still the best way to Stream from VU+ Duo to a friends PC? Had a bit of trouble getting this to work well.

Have heard that i could do it directly from web interface as i have a 12mb upload, but im having trouble getting the stream to play.

If u want to pay for a system where u can stream and change channels and play recordings via an internet connection to ur stb then google enigma web tv. Works very well and costs just the same as a few beers
