    13 east signal

Hi All, according to lyngsat, some transponders have a C/N of 5.5 and others 6.5 etc, my question is why can i tune a particular transsponder with a C/N of 5.5 but not others of the same?
    For example:10873 V 27500 fec 3/4 i get a 60% signal with agc 99% and ber 0% but on 10723 H 29900 fec 3/4 i get 0% signal

    Any help appreciated.

    cheers

Are you getting these readings from a receiver or a spectrum analyser? If its an analyser I would forget about the C/N as the MER is a more reliable reading for a digital signal and you want this to be as high as possible. In very general terms if its above 9 it should give you an unbroken picture, however with an fec of 3/4 you should be looking at 10 or above
