    If 'DreamBoxEdit' is not able to detect active 'DHCP' on the receiver, I'll have to turn off 'DHCP' on the receiver, and fill the details on the receiver.

    What image are you using, does it have a network wizard, if so run it and get your actual IP address then enter it into Dreambox edit, dont worry about nameserver.
    You must have changed something in your network settings as DBedit was connecting in that ftp log you showed me before.

    Now I do understand the problem! The receiver just arrives with an unstable image. I've tried many images -- if not all -- and came to the conclusion that the best image in town is 'BlackHole_VUDUO_136D_USB'. On this image the scanning process works just fine.
