    There has never been a bootloader update for the ultimo as for the kernel that has changed once from 2.6.18 to 3.1.1 if memory serves.

    The kernel is built into the image so just reflash with a newer image ( all ViX 3.0 images for the ultimo are kernel 3.1.1 ).
