    GiGaBlue QUAD info please

Hi guys i am on the cusp of ordering one of these boxes from sponsor and will be on VIX image (as always) but would just like to know a couple of things first...

1)How does it run heat wise as i notice it has no fan.(i think only seen one picture)
2)is it okay with WiFi dongles are there any hassles with connections.
3)What are zapping speeds like and general all round navigation of menus Etc.
4)Is the LCD display easy to set up.
5)Anyone found any major issues with new boxes.
6)Please feel free to add anything you think helpful as not much out there...

    Many thanks

    1) I've never had any problems with overheating and my box has been running 24/7 for about a year now.
    2) Never used one so I can't comment.
    3) Its very slick through the menus and zapping.
    4) Piece of piss and it looks very very well.
    5) The build quality isn't the best, when I first opened the box I thought either the courier had dropped it or Christie brown had put it together after a long weekend on lash.
    6) I've found gigablue aren't the most reliable company, lots of things promised but not many have materialised, but their products are.

I've had a lot of different boxes over the years and nothing comes close to the quad for price and quality.

I also own a GB Quad great box

1)Box runs cold as the power supply is in the plug not the box
    2)No problems so far
3)Fast faster than my previous VU+ box by a long way
    4)Easy
    5)None
6)Just been a great box with no issues for me

The power supply is external so dont worry about the heat.
I dont know something about the dongles but with a wifi repeater works ok
The zapping its ok,but i believe that this also depends on the images
The LCd display is very easy to set up,but i believe that the lcd images are very poor.Only 2-3 of them worth.
On ip tv channels ( if you have the pluggin ) there are a lot off crashes.Maybe this is channel's problem and not receiver problem.
until now i m not be able to setup the inadyn Vix for an external streaming
But you can make a streaming (poor streaming) with the GBCC tool.
The cams (CCAM etc) works ok and are very easy to handle.

    Hi.
Can some one please check the Gigablue Quad system info?
I'm using the factory default OpenMIPS Image and it does not have hardware info; can not check the unit specs.
I use 2 different sources/plugin: plugin-extensions-trrplugin/enigmaplugin-extensions-newmenu, and it tells me that the processor model is Bcrm4380 V1.1 FPU V0.1
    BogoMIPS0: 869.37
    BogoMIPS1: 651.26
Total amount of Physical RAM: 557MB
rather than the stated in the product description of Broadcom BCM7356 or BCM7346.
The Tuners seem to be BCM7356 and the processor should be BCM7346, but I'm
getting, system type: BCM7346 and Processor model: Brcm4380.
The Units motherboard is dated 2012.07.02 V0.6

I can't use HD skins like the default OM-Black, because it has PIG overlay issues- the info bar image breaks up. Check the pics.

I just purchased the unit, what should I do?
Thanks for any input to the query.
