    Technomate TM-TWIN Flash Update Problem

    Hi Everyone,

Hopefully someone out there will be able to help me.

I am trying to assist a friend who like me has a Technomate TM-TWIN, I have successfully flashed my own Twin from the original supplied 4D image to Vix, the process was very straightforward using a USB stick, however, this does not work at all on my neighbours, the 'Software Found' message does not appear when booting up, I have tried all 3 USB ports and nothing happens the 4D image just boots up all the time.

I know that the receiver can see the USB stick as it's shown in the hard disk manager.

Can anyone please advise what could be preventing the update process from starting?

    Thanks in advance.

Try flashing the bootloader first ( the same procedure as with the image ).

    bootloader can be found here.

also have a read of this tutorial.

Just thought I'd post that the problem has been resolved, the issue in this case was the update folder when unzipping didn't work, the standard extraction creates the following directory structure:

    update/tmtwinoe/cfe

To get it to work on this particular TM-TWIN I had to rename the folder 'tmtwinoe' to 'tmtwin', the flash update then worked no problem.

Then you have the wrong bootloader version on your receiver for the latest images.
