    Duo2 clones?

    Hi,

I am thinking about getting a Duo2, and I have been looking around for prices. I have seen much cheaper prices here in Italy (around 500E ->420GBP) so I am wondering if there are DUO2 clones around and I must be careful or Duo2 are (for the moment at least) only originals.

    Thanks,
    GiP

500 euro is more like £435-£440GBP.

I looked for the exchange ratio and found .84, I suppose you won't get that from a credit card company but yours is .88 it's more than 5% higher...
The sponsor site also uses something like the lower one and gives 439GBP-> 533E , as an indication only, but it can't be that different...

you have to also remember that in the uk you have 20% VAT added ontop of such purchases of which the sponsor has no control over at all.

The Italian price will also be a retail price I presume, so including the Italian VAT. When bought in the UK (or any other EU-country) from an Italian shop the VAT has already been paid (and one doesn't pay VAT twice). Nor will ther ebe any import costs.
When imported from outside the EU it's a completely different story.

Also Duo2 prices will vary by up to 150.00 depending on the tuner setup you go for , so remember to check this when comparing prices.

There is one thing that should be taken into account when buying this box.

There are some variations of tuners that change the price of more than 100 EUR.

You can buy it with 2 single DVB-S2 tuners, 1 single DVB-S2 tuner and DVB-T tuner, 1 dual DVB-S2, 2 dual DVB-S2 tuners (the most expensive option) and 1 dual DVB-S2 tuner and 1 DVB-T tuner.

I hope I did not miss any combination, but you get the point. They are all Vu+ DUO2, but different tuners influence the price.

Just some food for thought when taking into account who has the best deal.

PS: Unless the price difference was big and/or I was buying from an international online store with good guarantee, I would buy it locally due to guarantee issues.

    Good luck

Well Portugal and Greece have it already at 23%. I do not want to be the bringer of bad news but the Italian proposal is supposed to go to 23% also and not just 22%.
