    Original Vu+ Duo (MS850S) manual

    Hi,
Here is the original Vu+ Duo manual. Might be interesting to compare the features with the current Vu+ Duo. For example, the original had a loop through circuit.

    Cheers,

The Marusys MS850S is a current NON Enigma Linux receiver, it's not the original VU+ Duo, its another model. Although the VU+ Duo MIGHT have been based on it.

Sorry mate, Marusys is THE manufacturer of the Vu+ Duo.
MS850S is currently discontinued and made available with slightly less features as the Duo. You cannot even access the MS850S page on marusys website if you like too. Unless, one uses a predictable path based on other available product.

As I said, everything is the more or less the same (even the remote), but tailor made as a linux box for the european markets.

Yep, your right, it has been discontinued. Until recently a certain German retailer was selling them. To be clear though, the VU+ Duo is not branded by Marusys.

True, Marusys does not market the brand Vu+ Duo.
Depending upon the region it tends to go by different names. In Germany, e.g., its also called HM-Sat Vu+ Duo. In the US, it is (was) called Sonysat Vu+ Duo, etc.

On the other hand, since it is manufactured by Marusys (a Korean company), I feel assured. Korean electronics are far far superior and compete with any other electronics bigwigs. I have the Cowon S9, I should know. ;-)
