Max number of tuners?

I seen recently vu's can now support more than 4 tuners.

Does anyone know the limit as im after being able to achieve 6 tuners on one box for a student setup

afaik the limit was raised to 6 tuner by VU+ where 4 must be internal and 2 external.

I'm not sure about the maximum number; looking at

you can see that VU+ adapted their own skin to support 8 tuners.

Thanks Rob! I guess vix has the same support in terms of ability, i'm not that bothered about the skin/vfd showing this.

Now I just need to test how many streams the network card can handle.

Nor am I, but I think it gives us a clue; why would there skin be able to show 8 tuners if their boxes can't.

Not sure. I'm using 4 internal satellite tuners, and a Nova-T for terrestrial, but in the UK you need a T2 if you want to receive the HD channels.

Does anyone have a link to this as I had a quick good but could not see :a
