    Updating of drivers?

    Hi all

    Thinking of getting this receiver
Just have a question of drivers
If the receiver is supplied new should it have updated drivers already installed? if so how can i tell, is there a menu you go in to check? and if i need to install drivers..is it easy enough to do? and also if i reflashed a new image do i have to update drivers again or will they stay in the system?
    Thanks Richard

Drivers can easilly be transferred via FTP, but ViX will have what we feel are stable.

    Ok thanks Sicillian
Once the drivers are installed do they stay put or when you flash a different image do you have to ftp drivers again?
This part is a learning curve for me as haven't had any dealings with new drivers for my amiko alien
    Thanks again

the drivers will remain intact until they are superceded by a newer set during a update, but if you reflash a virgin image that has older drivers you will need to either update that image or the drivers. personally i use the drivers included in the image as there always included as and when we feel there stable enough.
