Remote control playing up vu+ solo2

    Hi guys
I have had my vu+ solo2 for 5 months which i hardly use but when i do i get very frustrated with the remote control.
I have to press very hard and really have to aim at the receiver which then takes a few attempts to get it to work.
I have changed the battery's for new ones with out any luck and i have tried another remote from my uno which does the same so it points me to the box.
Is there anything else i could try.
    Many thanks

Have you got a plasma TV? See how the remote responds when the TV is off by changing channels. The same thing happens to me with my plasma TV because it produces so much interference.

Can there be any interference from sunlight or a power saving bulb?

Plasma TV's are well known for this.
Please try using another R/C-code. The default value is 2, so you can try the codes 1, 3 & 4 to see if that makes any difference.

you need to change the code on both the remote and the receiver.

    On the receiver

    Menu> Setup> System> Remote control code setup > ( I think thats rite but i'm doing this from memory ). The Default is code 2 for the solo2 ( i believe ).

Then on the remote it self.

press and hold 2 and 7 for three seconds until the led turns red
    press help
press 0001 or 0002 or 0003 or 0004 to match the code you set in the menu.
this will then allow you to use your selected vu+ model.

beaware that if you reflash the receiver it will default back to it's original code meaning the remote will not work until you change it back.

Menu --> Setup --> System --> Remote Control Code
    Just follow the on-screen instructions.
