There is no need to create any new folders, format the USB stick & extract the image onto it as it is.

Have you tried a different USB stick.it may be incompatible.....or try placing it in a different USB slot on box.

Any chance of an experienced member putting up a complete setup for Vu+Duo ready to put onto USB for first time initialising the box. Would be a great help to the less technical minded of us!!!

i think its number 2 and 3 can be a little confusing as it states to make directories and there is no need, last time i flashed the duo i was creating the directories and the box wouldnt update, when i just extracted the files to the usb without the directories, the directories stated in 2 and 3 were automatically generated when the file were extracted, hope this makes sense.

Re: How to flash a VU+ Duo using a USB stick

    The bootloader is in www.openvix.co.uk
    The images are there too.

You flash the bootloader first and in the same way you would the image.

You can get the latest bootloader for your receiver from www.openvix.co.uk and flash it exactly the same way as you would a regular image.

Go to the openvix site and go to the bootloader section, for the duo you need the cfe.3.0 file. Flash this first and separate to the image.
