box not locking on to sats

hi I have a venton hd2 and us usal to find my sats when I send it to 13% box cant lock but my meter is reading full signal move it to 19% it locks 28% it locks thor not lock but again meter full signal /???

help !

Have you left the meter connected between the receiver and LNB?

Do Thor channels tune ok?

What are your tuner settings?

Have you set longitude and latitude ok?

Check F connectors and cables.

Btw, row of questions marks removed from the title, what exactly where they in aid of?

thor is locked on my sat meter

box not locked no channels found

meter is not connected

lat and long correct ( I think )


tried my meter at the box end and stil good strong signal

but nothing on my box

Have you tried installing a motorised bouquets list?
Have you set the tuner to usals?

You did scan the satellite?

settings are simple / positioner
not tried a motorised bouquets list
did scan but nothing found
started again from scratch put dish back to 0 told box to move to thor adjusted motor on pole to get best signal then scaned but nothing ? told dish to go to 19% run a scan got lots of channels then 13% nothing then 28% got all channels

tried my spider box on the dish and it gets every sat I point it too but I do this manualy by moving it east or west and storing the sat as soon as I get a lock is there a way I can do this with my venton box ?

In all honesty this sounds like either your dish out of alignment or your long and lat are wrong.

my lat is :53.741568

my long is : -2.399013

how would I put this in my box?
