    video enhanced settings

    Hi all,

Re the solo2 video enhanced settings. Is it possible to stop the box doing the processing of the picture. I do have my own scaler and i would like the box to output a non processed video signal. Many thanks for looking into this.

Yes, you can prevent the box from scaling the video output (if that's what you mean).
You should use the 'autoresolution' plugin and set it up accordingly (which is not that easy).

Needless to say that all 'enhancement' settings should be set to default.

Currently I am getting an excellent picture , but I don't know if it is because of the DVDO or if the solo2 box is great on its own, I really need to try without the DVDO. I left the DVDO in place cos it was hooked to with everything else and was more hassle to take it out.

Just delete the plugin. Alas there is no default-button.

Tried to set this up, deleted enhancement plugin and downloaded auto resolution, changed sd 25/50 setting to 576i which is correct, it displays 576, but changes back to 1080p as soon as I change channel?

Hmmm, you're correct (tried here on DUO2).
I will file a bugreport for this.

IMO what needs to be done is in the a/v setting you need to be able to change resolution to auto or native, if you uninstall the a/v plug in, auto resolution doesn't work, as soon as you reinstall auto resolution, av plug in installs as well.

Because the A/V plugin is required. Why would you want to de-install that?

That's exactly what AR allows you to do (and far more flexible than only Yes/No).

Fixed for next build; thanks for reporting.

If you want to use it now, unzip the attached file to /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/AutoResolution
