    XBMC using the vuplus add-on

Hi guys just thought id share my experience on using vuplus add-on with XBMC, have to say its working really really well! over both lan and wan, i tend to use wan more then anything and the HD streaming is simply brilliant, it blows openwebif out the water, well it does for me anyway, there is a downside in that it takes a little while to grab the epg lists etc, but i am trying to tweak the settings to see if i can improve that, but for anyone that wants an alternative to openwebif, highly recommend this!

    Hi,
you have to get to the configuration and select a TV client as there are several to choose from and you have to configure this client with IP and user and password.

as previous user said it takes to long to load the epg and channel list but it is great if you appletv is on your bedroom as you can watch your normally tv via your apple tv.

If you run it on decent hardware and limit it to one bouquet instead of multiple bouquets it's loads the epg in a couple of minutes.

The Pi works but just doesn't have the hardware to make it a smooth solution.

I have been using it as my main source of live tv viewing for about 6 months with no problems. The only feature missing is timeshift support and channel changing speed could be improved too. Other than that, I leave my htpcs on all the time so the epg loading time is not an issue as it only happens at startup of xbmc, after that I set it it to automatically get the epg at regular intervals, which it does in the background.

That combined with the skin I developed for xbmc
    Code:
     http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=165481
makes for a very open, configurable htpc experience.

I do use powerful hardware though, a mac mini 2012 model running openelec.

It's not, the plugin is for XBMC it self not for enigma2.
