Permanent Orange light and no boot up.

    Hi everyone
I've had my VU+UNO for around 16 months and have encountered a problem whereby it just doesn't boot up any more.
All I get is a permanent orange light on the front of the box.
I have tried to re-flash from the from USB, but it doesn't pick up anything at all. There is also no display on the box led window.
The local sat shop where I purchased it from has closed down and I'm really stuck.
Does anyone have a solution? or is this now officially an expensive 'Brick'?

Best is to power down, connect a serial cable, open a session in a program like 'Putty' and power up the box.
That way the box will tell you exactly what is going on.

Have you had any luck? I had similar problem and discovered its heat related - if its been on for a while then you switch off/power off (not standby) it doesn't come on again until its cooled... Seems the super-efficient heat-sink over the CPU doesn't cool as much as it should!

Check your fan is working as it should not be suffering from heat issues if its in a area with a good airflow and the fan is working.
