    Horizontal Black lines appear on screen

    Black horizontal lines an inch apart showing on the tv screen
    Have rebooted the box they show on everything epg , recorded movies .the tv shows normal display on digital channels no lines there
    Im using vix 2.1 image
    Has anyone come across how to fix this
    The box was bought from our sponsor just 14 months old

    Hi,
    have you tried different HDMI input on your TV and a different source (DVD-/BR-player) to check that your TV is OK?

    Yes I have tried the tv on its own and the tv is working normally as ihave mentioned in tbe thread

    Shut down and power everything off at the mains. Change HDMI sockets and try a different HDMI cable if possible.

    I will do this when home and report
    The box is coming via a Sony amp by hdmi and an optical cable as well
    Has got a 2gb Usb sick at the back for epg

    Then connect the box directly to the tv and test

    Connected the box directly with a new hdmi to tv and lines are gone

    At least now you know both tv and receiver are ok. Hopefully just a dodgy cable.

    Old cables are working without any lines. I think it needed a restart from the main Power socket
