which is by your opinion the best firmware for the Gigablu HD 800 SE? I mean in terms of stability, functionalities, updates and available plugins.

as cypchris says, you can grab the cam from the download server.
As for frequent updates, using the ViX image it gets updated the same as every other supported box, which is quite often.
