Hi
Xmltv is downloading epg events but they are not populating the epg. Any ideas? Only just started giving me probs today. Epg is set to save events to hard drive. I am using latest vix image.
Which source Rytec?

Xmltv Rytec uk
I have it set up for a family member on a TM800 and it regualry fails and now given up on it and its the sourcelist - thats sats where it downloads the epg being out of date or bandwidth limited.
Which sats are you after as if only 28.2E, your better off going with CrossEPG.

Not sure if you use XMLTV in Cross or the separate XMLYV importer. The latter will seldom fail (and always works fine here) as the source list is being updated while executing an import. Besides XMLTV-importer uses multiple sources and it has a far better memory management.
In other words: XMLTV importer has a lot of redundancy build in.
Of course: for UK-channels you can use Open-TV inside Cross. But most of the descriptions in XMLTV are more comprehensive then what Open-TV offers.
BTW: Which box do you use?
